Adjust your Softail brake
There are two types of brake pedals for the Harley-Davidson Softail motorcycles: adjustable and non adjustable. Until all the models will have adjustable pedals, manually adjusting them is the solution. To do so, just correctly install the rear brake components.
Follow these steps:
- Take a pair of pliers and remove the cotter pin from the brake pedal assembly. Pull out the clevis pin on the brake rod.
- With an SAE open ended wrench loosen the jam nut
- Set the height you want for the pedal by rotating the brake rod in or out. Tight back the jam nut
Put back the clevis pin and cotter pin
