Switch to non- ABS brakes

There are some steps you have to follow if you want to convert your brakes to non- ABS. first remove the anti-lock control unit and plumb the brake lines directly to the individual brakes. You are not obliged to remove the electrical wiring.

Follow these steps:

1. After you raise the hood of the car take a flair nut wrench and disconnect the brake lines from the control unit. Reroute each line to the correct wheel. Using a socket wrench you will unbolt the control unit from mounting bracket.
2. Now the brake lines should be rerouted to the master cylinder. In case the lines are not long enough you can buy new ones. Mount the front brake lines to the brake fluid reservoir that is the largest.
3. You have to remove the air trapped inside so bleed the brakes.  You do this with a friend that will push the brake pedal. After all air has escaped close the valve. Stop when the air is gone.
