You must learn to bleed the power brakes
If you want your vehicle to be in a safe condition, then bleed the power brakes. The symptoms of air in the system are a soft pedal, or if it rakes to long to stop the car. Bleeding means eliminating the air from the system.
Follow these steps:
- Get access to the brake lines after you remove the furthest tire from the master cylinder.
- With a plastic tubing connect the bleeder valve behind the wheel drum and a plastic bottle sealed good.
- Ask an assistant to push the brake pedal after you loosen the bleeder screw.
- Put in some more fluid to fill the master cylinder. While still bleeding the system check the liquid in the plastic bottle. When it’s the new one stop. Refill the master cylinder in the end.
