Choosing a motorcycle helmet

Helmets are obligatory in many states.

What to use: motorcycle traffic rule books, motorcycles, federally approved motorcycle helmets.

Chose a helmet that properly fits all the way around.
Chose helmets that have two rings for fastening with strong straps.
Purchase a bright color helmet, that is red, yellow, white or orange.
Think about purchasing a reflective helmet, or a helmet that has a reflective tape.
Don’t buy defect helmets, with cracks, exposed material or loose padding.
